One of the most beautiful villages is Apiranthos on a hill between vineyards. It is also one of the oldest villages of Naxos. The streets and many walls of the houses are covered with marble. It´s also called the marble village. Easy to find are the venetian tower-houses. Visit one of the four private, worth seeing museums. |

From Apiranthos a steep, wound road with an amazing view leads to Moutsouna. On this road caution is required. Moutsouna has a little port and a pretty small sand beach. |

Follow the road always along the sea to the south. You will have a view to the small neighbour islands Koufonisi and Danussa. Pass small bays, some of them are only attainable with a boat, pass the beautiful beach Psili Ammos, where you will find also a few small taverns. Here it is pleasant quiet also in the high season. |

The tour ends at the southern point Panormos. Romantically lonely lies this small bay with a palm beach. You should remain here for a while and enjoy. |
